Rime: The Denuvo Story.
So, Rime is a game that was relatively anticipated. With its team ICO style gameplay and vibrant colour pallet it seemed like a game that would be a delightfully calm and intriguing experience. Despite this people were talking more about the games DRM polices than the game itself. So let's begin with what the developers said that stirred so many people up the wrong way. Near release the developers made a statement regarding the game and its use of DRM. The developers made a post that said “ Rime is a very personal experience told through both sight and sound. When a game is cracked, it runs the risk of creating issues with both of those items, and we want to do everything we can to preserve this quality in Rime .” This alone is a strange statement to make. In no way could Denuvo or any other form of DRM actually make a difference to the way the game plays beyond maybe tampering the performance.
